Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT We present the clinical case of an infant with four months
that was observed in the Gastroenterology Department for the
presence of mucus and small amount of blood in stool. The
child was in breastfeeded and had normal development and
physical examination. Blood and fecal analysis were normal.
Rectosigmoidoscopic examination and find an erosive rectocolitis
with eosinophils. The diagnosis of allergic proctocolitis was
considered. Cow milk products were excluded from the diet and
three weeks later the patient was well.
